I just got home from the pool - surprising, I know. But instead of laying out and reading our books, we somehow decided to play pool games. Growing up we played at the neighborhood pool, the Platt's pool and my cousins' pool for HOURS. I think I spent every summer day of my childhood at a pool. I don't think I've really "played" at the pool since I was about 14. But today my 23 year old cousin, 22 year old sister, 19 year old sister, 16 year old sister and I spent hours playing Sharks and Minnows, Categories, Initials and other games I don't remember the names of. Good times. Good times.
And, is it wrong that I'm proud to know that I can still beat my sisters :)

OH YES!!! I WISH I WERE YOU TODAY!! DID YOU PLAY MARCO POLO?
You know, we watch the kids at the pool play those games all the time and I just laugh remembering how we always had to play with a handicap to get our friends to play with us...oh and these kids play in Spanglish, which is also very fun to watch. I'm jealous you played sharks and minnows. I would have been some real competition for you! :)
Kristan you make me so proud!!!! Those were the best days playing those games. When I've tried to play initials with Gracie it just isn't the same (I don't do that often but have tried it) Well, I'm glad you are still living up the childhood games.
Kristan thats so awesome!! I miss those days, those were the greatest childhood memories, minus playing office in your unfinished basement. haha gotta love it!
um may i just emphasize that you lie. it was pretty even competition minus sam and bathing suit related issues.
Pa-lease. I so kicked your trash.
