So remember how last month I was chastised by some random man on the bus about taking so long to read last month’s book club book. Well this month I finished our book, Revolutionary Road, approximately 20 minutes before we met. Opps.
Overall I thought it was a great book. It has received praise from the literary community for years (including being one of Time Magazine’s All-Time 100 Novels), and has been adapted into a movie out this December. It’s sad and depressing, yet completely relatable. It testifies how much American culture has shifted since the 50’s, yet at the same time how much it has not.
