I don’t remember exactly when I was first introduced to Dirty Dancing. It came out in 1987, and well I was a bit young, but I do remember my mom liking it and seeing bits and pieces of it on TV when I was little. But what I do know is it was one of the first DVDs I purchased – and I’ve watched it over and over again – at slumber parties, in the dorms and well you can’t help but stop and watch some of it when you’re channel surfing and its inevitably on TBS. And I’m pretty sure my prom theme was “I’ve had the time of my life.” Oh, come on, you all know you’ve been to a dance with that theme :)
Well, it's the 20th anniversary of Dirty Dancing, and in its honor the film is being re-released to over 300 movie theatres for a special two night engagement on the big screen – May 1 and 2. Sexy Johnny, naïve Baby, sexy dancing, watermelons, sneaking around behind your parents – All on the big screen! How can you pass that up!?!
I really wish they would do this with other movies too. I mean I love my little 35” TV, but ...

I am so excited for dirty dancing! I seriously haven't seen that movie in so long. Maybe we should make it a dirty dancing/TBH (troop beverly hills) night?!
TBH! Classic - we should. I actually saw that TBH is going to be on ABC Family this weekend and thought of you guys. Can't wait to be initiated into the club :)
