I love the holidays, and this year I'm embracing them. I am going to celebrate. I'm going to shop. I'm going to see the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. I'm going to bake. I'm going to decorate. I'm not going to have finals or stress. Oh, and I'm beginning now. Thanksgiving you can't come fast enough.
I love cards. I love snail mail. I don't send it as often as I should - or as often as I buy cards - but I would say definitely more than the average person. I've started shopping for the perfect holiday cards. Last year's were pretty good. I have a lot to live up to.
Every time I watch TV in a hotel I get so annoyed with the commercials. And when I miss something I reach for the controls before I realize I can't rewind. I miss my DVR. What was life like before DVR?
Why does no one outside of the NYC metro area understand that getting a manicure while getting a massage is The.Best.Thing.Ever. Work trips are timed so well with my touch-up needs.

I have never had a (working) fireplace in any of my apartments, but for some reason now after 9 years I find myself wishing I had one.
I don't care that Pepsi headquarters are 30 minutes away! What does a girl have to do to get a Diet Coke in this town!

I love your Hotel Room Random thoughts and as someone who travels more than I'd like...I get agree with many of them. Why don't hotels install DVRs...wouldn't that just make their patrons VERY happy? It would me! Can't wait to see your card this year...I did love last years.
um mani/pedi/massage is the best way to go. Of course here in the south the massage is done while your feet are soaking in the pedi tub. Is that what you Yankees do to?

One more reason I need to come visit Lauren! That's a new one. The Yankees pull the chair massage up to the table - so one is doing your mani while another gives you your massage. Heaven.
