A Few Of My Favorite NYC Things

Forget raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens (whiskers on kittens . . . seriously Maria!?!), I have been able to do a few of my favorite NYC things over the past few weeks.

The Met Rooftop Garden - I absolutely love sitting up here and enjoying the fabulous view of Central Park and the Midtown skyline. It is so calming and beautiful to see all of the green tree tops from the park. I could sit up here for hours - and did last week! Until they kicked me out at closing. The current roof sculpture exhibit is by Jeff Koons. There is also a really fun Super Heros exhibit at the Met right now. It's a fun combination of superhero movie costumes and avant-garde haute couture. Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, Wonder Woman, Catwoman and more.

Bryant Park - I love Bryant Park! It's such a wonderful haven in Midtown. I loved taking a break from the office to enjoy lunch in the park. So many good memories of lunch with KZ, KC and my co-workers here. Last week I met Karen for one last trip to Cosi and Bryant Park.

Central Park - The cities backyard. Bethesda Fountain, The Boathouse, Sheeps Meadow, the Bow Bridge . . . oh so fabulous.

Karen, Heather and I rented a row boat today and enjoyed the beautiful weather!

The Brooklyn Bridge - Eating Grimaldi's pizza on the pier, walking across the bridge, enjoying the view . . . it's a perfect evening. Holly, Cassie and I went last Friday. We also saw the much talked about, but not so special, waterfalls exhibit by Danish artist Olafur Eliasson. There are four waterfalls - off Governors Island in the harbor, at the Brooklyn base of the Brooklyn Bridge, at Pier 35 near the Manhattan Bridge and off the Brooklyn Promenade.

Brunch - No one does brunch like New Yorkers. I have been to so many fabulous brunch places in the city. Today I enjoyed the amazingly delicious Lemon Ricotta Pancakes at Sarabeth's - just one of my favorites. Saturday mornings just won't be the same.

These are a few of my favorite NYC things.
