Zigazig Ha

Caisa had this master plan for a Sister Weekend in Vegas last December. The Spice Girls had just announced their Reunion Tour and the plan was to go to the Spice Girls concert on Friday and then Celine on Saturday (before she ended her show). Don’t worry, you didn’t miss that post, it never happened. Stupid Kelli and finals . . . school, blah, blah, blah.

This week I found out about some last minute tickets to the Spice Girls concert. I IMed (yes that’s a verb) Bryndee and within 24 hours we were there. Yes, I know you are jealous. I felt like I walked into a time machine and was back at the Backstreet Boys concerts I went to in high school. The crowd was filled with screaming high school girls, gay men and Bryndee and me. I have never seen so many girls who had no idea who the Spice Girls even were until they announced their reunion tour (come on, even I was a little young when they were in their prime) dressed up like their favorite Spice Girls.

I laughed the whole night. Laughing at the people in the audience. Laughing at Bryndee confessing, “Yes, I was a Spice Girls fan,” while singing every word to every song. Laughing as I jumped up and down singing Wannabe. So much fun. The girls were kind of amazing. And the dancers were Step Up good. A Wednesday night to remember.

So tell me what you want, what you really really want . . .

I could not be more jealous. I tried to get tickets to a Spice Girls concert to no avail.
