Love Today

I can’t stop listening to Mika! Three days later and Mika’s amazing, international sensation, Life in Cartoon Motion is still on repeat.

KC and I went to the Mika concert on Saturday, and it was AMAZING. I was so disappointed I didn’t know the last time he was in NYC, that I promptly bought tickets as soon as his US tour was announced – Saturday night at Terminal 5 my dreams came true.

It was the most random crowd. There were four teenage girls screaming “We love you Mika” behind us, a drunk gay couple passionately singing along next to us and a completely disinterested guy clearly there to appease his girlfriend in front of us. Too funny.

Karen and I completely lucked out with our timing. We arrived just before 9, checked our coats and then started pushing our way through the crowd for a prime spot. Just when our “excuse me” and “sorry, we’re trying to get to our friends over there” had reached its limit we’d smashed ourselves right in the middle, and Mika took the stage.

We jumped, danced, screamed and sang all night. And Mika didn’t disappoint – his curly, teen heartthrob worthy moppy hair, magnificent smile, all white outfit with glittery suspenders and impossibly long legs had everyone - regardless of gender - swooning. Oh yeah, and he can sing.

If you don't know who he is, check him out - fabulous dance music.

I am seriously considering flying to Seattle for his Feb 14th concert. What better way to spend V Day than with my true love?

So glad you came!
