O Canada

Karen moved to Vancouver and since she never stays in one city for very long I knew I needed to go visit her soon. I am glad I did, because I loved Vancouver! We had a great long weekend sightseeing, sleeping and chatting.

After waking up to this amazing view from Karen's bed, I spent the day walking around the city while Karen worked.

We decided to chase the sunny weather and took a ferry to Victoria for Saturday. I loved Victoria! We started with the perfect Saturday brunch. I am still thinking about the eggs benedict and french toast we split.

After brunch we walked over to Parliament. We were enjoying the sun, laughing at some tour groups and still full from brunch and ended up falling asleep on the grass. It was a random, funny, delightful afternoon nap :) This is my "I just woke up why are you taking a picture Karen" face.

Karen and her brother Cody, who lives in Victoria, had rented scooters before and loved seeing the city that way. They laughed at me when I told them I was nervous.

We stopped at some beaches.

And the University of Victoria, which is overrun by bunnies.

And drove to a lookout for a beautiful view of the city.

I eventually got the hang of the scooter, and we had the perfect afternoon scooting around.

Back in Vancouver, I fell in love with bubble tea, had fantastic food, went to a street fair, shopped, slept and chatted.

And Karen took me to the best places in and around the city.

We even laid out for a bit. Nothing quite like laying out on rocks overlooking the ocean with snow capped mountains in the background.

The trip was the perfect end to my mini-summer break.

I can't believe you got to ride scooters. And must say, I love your wardrobe.
