My mom makes sugar cookies for EVERY holiday. Even though sugar cookies aren’t my favorite cookie, every holiday I still feel like I need to have some. I remember buying some Halloween sugar cookies with Lauren in London (I think we were at Cambridge actually). The cookie jar is always full with bells, stars, snowmen and santa sugar cookies at Christmas. My mom has overnighted Valentine’s Day sugar cookies to me. You get the point.
Last weekend I actually made Easter sugar cookies. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever made them by myself before. Not that they are hard, just I haven’t done it. I was teaching RS on Sunday, and I figured it was time. I went to Williams-Sonoma and bought two cookie cutters, made the dough Friday and baked and frosted on Saturday.
While making the dough I realized we were out of salt. How do you run out of salt? I feel like you have that big bottle forever. Since I didn’t want to run to the corner store and buy some, I tasted the dough and it seemed fine to me. Surprisingly they turned out great. I’m not quite sure how that worked out, but I’ll take it.

I love sugar cookie DOUGH.
Kristan, you are quite the domestic one. Your cookies turned out so cute! Every time I bake sugar cookies I end up eating more dough than the cookies.
You are so cute!!!!
Those cookies are super adorable! Your blog always makes me hungry.
Reading about Halloween and London reminded me of how we were in Paris for Halloween and ate pastries for every meal. Such good memories! Wish we could go back.
