The other Crackberry

Last night I met Caroline for a little after work snack - Pinkberry. For those of you who aren't in LA or NYC and/or haven't yet experienced Pinkberry, I strongly urge you to when you get the chance! (Right now there are only three locations in NYC, but they plan to open 13 more stores by the end of the year – W70s please)

So what is it? It’s a low-calorie frozen treat in plain or green tea flavors, piled with fruit, granola, chocolate chips and more toppings. Recently there’s been a lot of controversy over what is in a Pinkberry – California health officials have ruled the chain can no longer call that fat-free frosty stuff "frozen yogurt," since it doesn't contain enough active cultures to qualify. But I say who cares, it tastes good, right!? Maybe it is “Crackberry,” is that a bad thing :)

I love the tart, icy texture mixed with the sweet toppings. Last night I had strawberries, coconut and Oreos. Mmmm mmmm good.

Move over Tasti-D-Lite.

You are so much like a celebrity...move over Reese, Kristan is taking your place with "fo-frozen yogurt!" I've seen all the stars on People.com with their Pinkberry, but I had no idea what it really was...thanks for the education. I will have to try it next time I am in a place where they have it! Can't wait!

Yum, yum, yum, I love pinkberry. Tasti D just does not compare. The only frozen yogurt that comes close or is even better is Yogen Fruz in Europe and Canada.

The music goes round and round in my head...pinkberry, pinkberry. I went to Niagara Falls on Memorial Day long weekend and tried Yogen Fruz. It may indeed taste better but the music still goes around in my head, pinkberry, pinkberry
