I basically haven't been to Provo since I graduated three years ago, so it was a little weird going back last week. No offense to anyone who lives, loves or grew up there, but there were a few things that I noticed while I was there.
1. Everything is so short. I mean I love the city and yes I suppose that I'm used to skyscrapers, but even the three of four floor apartment buildings seemed so small.
2. There is so much space! On the roads, sidewalks, apartments, restaurants, everything . . . I always remember Cafe Rio being crowded. The long line, squeezing in between the tables, trying to get a chair . . . but last week when I walked in I felt like there was so much room. I felt like they could but two or three more tables in there.
3. Blondes. Everyone is blonde. Everyone.
4. Shoes, horrible, horrible shoes. Everywhere I looked.
5. "Is there anything else I can get you?" I bought a bottle of water when I got off the plane, and from that first cashier everyone was just a little too helpful. I mean really, if I wanted something else I would have asked for it, but thank you . . . I suppose.
6. Babies. Some things never change - they were everywhere.
Weird. I really can't think of a better word to describe it.

Yes, everyone is blond in Draper, too. Actually, there are some not-good shoes in Draper, as well. Hmmm...
Whenever I visit Provo I want to dye my hair brown. I think weird is the best word. I can't think of another town like it...except for Rexburg is slowly transforming into Provo.
I can't believe she is graduating!!! How time flies!
... and with this post it reminds me of the 789454867 reasons I love Kristan :)
Want to dye your hair blonde, become a size 2 and pop out some babies? Me neither.
Provo is weird! I think that is why I cried for four months after moving there. I wish I were kidding :)
