Rollin' With My Homies

Holly called a few weeks ago and told me the most tragic story. It began with her hearing a big "pop" while running and ended with this text picture.


One ruptured Achilles Tendon and one sexy green cast.

Wanting something to do for Memorial Day, wanting OUT OF THIS STILL FREEZING UTAH WEATHER, loving how skymiles make last minute trips possible and loving Holly - I booked a trip to the desert.

I'm a little disappointed I didn't get to push Holly in a wheelchair, but I had the best weekend ever. Some highlights:

- Five Sonic Route 44 DC trips. My sisters always joke that when I'm with Holly all we do is drink Diet Coke. That may be true; we're both enablers.
- Dinner and Desert in Scottsdale. I kid you not, I fall more and more in love with Scottsdale every time I go.
- Hours of chatting
- Manis and lunch with Paige
- Provo Pool Party. I have a surprising amount of old Provo friends now in AZ.
- Seeing Angela and little Molly
- Anne "Withanye"
- Fashion Independent: The Original Style of Ann Bonfoey Taylor at the Phoenix Art Museum. Hearing about confident, intelligent women with a strong sense of self is inspiring.
- 100 degree weather. I won't lie; getting in the car was HOT, but everything else (including my sun burned legs) was fabulous. Desert heat, I'll take you over Utah fake "spring" anytime.
- Being Holly's Personal Assistant. Knock on wood, I hope to never experience life on crutches - especially in 100 degree weather - but Holly took it like a champ and made it look effortless. One more reason she's awesome. She's says I helped her, but I'm pretty sure it was the other way around.

I wasn't ready for the weekend to end. There is never enough time to do and see everyone. Thank you 3-Day weekends! AZ, I will be back!
