I love books. I love reading. I love buying books. I love wandering Barnes & Noble. I love my bookshelf full of books I've read. Friday I did something new. I became a card carrying member of the Salt Lake City Library. The library! You can go and borrow books. I kept saying "rent," and Kelli laughed at me. Other than school, I honestly can't remember having a library card and checking out books. I've been to libraries. I loved the library in Bryant Park. I have so many fun (none reading and studying, naturally) memories in the HBLL. But checking out books. New. I know. I'm not normal.
But the really great news is I am not just a library member, but I LOVE the SLC library. It is beautiful. It is filled with natural light; it's surrounded with windows provide beautiful, distracting views of the mountains. There are reading nooks. Fireplaces. Spiral staircases. And apparently a roof top garden I still need to see. It really is gorgeous. I can't wait to frequently visit . . . and borrow books :)

proud of you! libraries rock.
The SLC library is great! And one of the favorite hang-outs of many of the city's homeless population. My favorite thing is reserving books online to check out...so easy!
The library is the best. I'd live in one if I could.
That is a beautiful library. I am such a library fan. Cookbooks you would never buy, CDs to burn, movies to watch. Love it.
