This summer is a little different than my past two summer lists - 2008 and 2009. I graduated. I'm enjoying what I'm calling my sabbatical. I have a few trips planned. I'm moving. I start a new job. It's a lot of change. I'm excited, but I also know that I can only plan so much. It will be a great summer, but once I move and works starts who knows what will happen. So this summer I'm calling my To Do List: Sabbaticaling, Nesting and Working. Here's to another great summer!
Summer Sabbaticaling, Nesting and Working To Do List:
1. Enjoy time with Caisa and Shannan
2. Learn how to braid my own hair
3. Provo pool days laughing at the ridiculousness that is pool flirting and watching
4. Write thank you notes
5. Cabo family vaca
6. Seattle trip
7. Cross the border to Vancouver B.C.
8. Move into an apartment that is all mine!
9. Furnish and Decorate – while I’m super excited about this it is also extremely overwhelming and daunting . . . and expensive
10. Complete a Do-it-Yourself project – this is a bigger deal than it may seem to some of you (DIY does not go well with my family; just ask about the birdhouse)
11. Host my first dinner party at my apartment
12. Go to a Bees game
13. Find a great Farmer’s Market – get some fruit and bake
14. Plant something - what? how'd that get on there?
15. Get a Costco membership - my friends out here think it’s hysterical I’ve never been
16. Discover my new neighborhood – and find my new favorites
17. Start work
18. Walk to work when the weather is nice (it’s only a mile away, but jumping in the car is going to be so easy)
19. Continue to run
20. Georgia trip for either HH or the lake (hopefully I can pull this off)
21. Celebrate Rachel becoming Mrs. Harmer
22. Watch Sammy move into the dorms! (just watch, not help)
23. Read – fun books, work books, classic books, just books
24. Start a book club
and maybe most importantly . . .
25. Keep my tan - even with the whole office, work thing

you best believe with as many times as i've helped move your sorry butt you will be moving mine (: but please please please make it to GA!
I am especially looking forward to #21!!!!!!!
But I also hope you'll let me participate in 13, 14, 15, and 24.
And you've never been to Costco?? What the??
2. you have no idea how happy this makes me.
11. make sure i teach you some napkin folding techniques first, as the sister of a future dietitian, i can't let you overlook dinner party details
24. i want in. this is the only reason its okay you've excluded gallagher girl 4 from your list
also, you're missing something very important. i'll give you a hint. it has to do with a vampire..
I want your list!!
I personally feel like DIY is the most overrated thing. Hello, there is a reason God invited Crate and Barrel.
LUCKY NUMBER SEVEN! Can't wait for our adventures in the true north!
Also, my summer list now includes driving my little brother Lee down to BYU. I will actually be helping him move in, not just watching. :) So maybe after my Provo pitstop, I could stop by and see your new places and discover farmer's markets with you. Yes?
One of my goals has been to learn how to braid my own hair, too! People make it seem so easy, but IT IS NOT!
And also, if your book club would have me, I want to join!!
When do you move into your apt? I'll be in Utah the middle of June. I hope this trip we can meet up for lunch or something.
sam - sorry, you will be moving in on a weekday. having a job finally pays off! :)
shannan - you my dear are leaving me for the DR. i can't see horrible vampire movies with just anyone.
emerson - oh i love you. i'm pretty sure that is the exact reason! :)
And yeah for friends to join/help me! You are all invited.
