Mamasanté or "mama-health"

I have some exciting news. No, I still don't have an internship - fingers crossed something will happen - but I do know what I'm going to be doing in May!

I am doing a microfinance consulting project with an NGO in Ghana. I will be helping teach women in rural villages important business skills as they become entrepreneurs so they can generate a regular income - and since the business is health based they will also be helping improve their family and communities' health.

I am really excited to have the experience. It will be humbling. It will be fascinating to see microfinance working. It will be an amazing adventure!

Now I just need a corporate internship . . .
