Apparently Pilates is a Contact Sport

I love pilates and have been taking mat classes at the gym for years, and in January I decided to start taking some classes on the reformer. I can't believe the difference and I highly recommend it. But I digress . . .

Here is my very poor description of the reformer: it has a sliding base attached to different springs and ropes. Last week while working out I was on the sliding base and thought the springs were on a pretty tight setting so I pulled back on the ropes really hard. I was wrong. The springs weren't very tight, and I went flying. It was probably quite comical to witness, but I was laughing so hard no one really knew what had happened.

Then I woke up two-days later to these beauties.

Who knew pilates was so dangerous.

I still love pilates and recommend it . . I'm just klutzy :)

Never been a pilates fan, and those bruises make me not want to ever try that reformer.
