New York Fashion Week Spring 2008

Today at about Noon I got an email inviting me to the Max Azria Spring 2008 Fashion Week show! One of our clients is participating in the gift bags, and they had tickets they couldn’t use. The catch: the show was this afternoon at 2 p.m. Of course a couple of us girls in the office jumped at the opportunity to a) leave the office and b) go to Fashion Week! Plus it was the Max Azria show – fantastic! I went to a show during the Fall 2006 Fashion Week with another client, so this wasn’t my first time, but it was still FANTASTIC. Plus this was a much better show.

The look book says: For Spring 2008, dreamy silhouettes evoke sensual allure with intimate luxury. Fine tune finishes compliment slip dresses in weightless satin, drip-dyed ombres and gently washed shadows of black and steel grey reveal a poetic richness. I was definitely not dressed for the occasion, but oh well. It was a beautiful show with some gorgeous dresses and coats. I love the coat in the picture right above! And the front row was star studded: Nicole Richie, Ciara, Molly Sims (I think it was her, it looked like her), Carrie Underwood, Mya, Ivana Trump and Natasha Bedingfield – and of course Anna Wintour with her sunglasses on.

I know this picture is far away and dark, but you can kind of see on the front row starting on the left: Nicole Richie (next to the guy with the grey and black sweater on), Molly Sims is talking to her, Mya is the seventh person down in the pink dress, and Carrie Underwood is the blond second from the last. I know it's a stretch, but it will have to do :)
